Volunteer with Family Central

Volunteers are an essential part of Family Central. We welcome parents, grandparents, neighbors, educators, helping professionals, civic leaders, and business owners to join us in furthering our mission to develop a web of support for children and families. Family Central invites you to lend a hand in any way that fits your schedule and interest. Please see below some of the ways you may contribute:

• Family Central welcomes local community members to speak at our workshops on parenting topics that both inform, support and empower parents.

• Attend one of our public forums to learn about a topic that interests you and share your ideas.

• Get training to become a Family Central group leader.

• Create a parenting group in your neighborhood, preschool/school, or place of worship.

• Watch someone else’s child so they can attend a Family Central information/speaker event.

• Help build connections by sharing Family Central information and resources with other parents, friends, colleagues, and community members.

• Like our Facebook page and share your thoughts and ideas.

• Help with fundraising or organizing special Family Central events.

• Knitters and crocheters needed to create lap size blankets for our “Newborn Welcome Bags” initiative.

One of the marvelous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals.
