Beverly Braxton is the founder of Family Central and is a retired elementary school teacher. Throughout her 29 years working in the Warwick Schools, she has emphasized the importance of strong family-school partnerships for helping children thrive and overcome the challenges they face.
Beverly is the recipient of numerous teaching and community awards and since her retirement in 2010, has continued to work as an education consultant, adjunct professor, and parent educator.
Maritza DeLamater is a bilingual educator and has a range of teaching experience working with children of all ages. Maritza has training in parent-child communication and a special interest in working with culturally diverse students.
Femi Ford is an artist with a love for textile and pattern design and she generously lends her graphic design experience to local groups in her hometown of Warwick, NY. Femi is responsible for the creation of Family Central’s logo, brochure, and Facebook page. She also coordinates local family hikes through the Family Central private group.
Sasha Glohs Loberg loves good food and knows the importance of a healthy diet for developing children. She values recipes featuring foods that both children and adults should be eating more regularly and seeks to understand the role nutrition plays in one’s over-all well-being.
Beth Nagel is a parent, educator, and community activist. Being raised in a family of educators committed to the service of others, Beth has learned the importance of community and working together. As a parent she has learned to be more patient with the support of her family, friends and community.
Stephanie O’Leary, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist with a specialty in child neuropsychology. She is the founder and director of Westchester Psychological Services, a private practice in Mt. Kisco, NY, and author of “Parenting in the Real World.”
Elsa Riley-Lawrence is a social worker with over 20 years experience working to enhance the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. She also has an extensive background providing services to culturally diverse populations of children and families within the child welfare system and to children who are experiencing problems that create barriers to learning in school.
Amy Sibilla designs and develops software systems and provides support for Family Central. Amy is also a postpartum doula, sharing information about baby care and doing whatever a mother needs to best enjoy and nurture her newborn.
Paula Spector has over 30 years of experience in the field of maternity and infant care and is certified in childbirth education, lactation counseling, and parenting education. She worked 20 years in the Pine Bush School District as a prevention specialist and parent educator and is currently working to create parenting support groups for new and expectant parents.
